Originating from two Sanskrit words, Nav- meaning new, and Riti – meaning new ways of doing things, Navriti embodies our commitment to strategies that disrupt obdurate unjust structures. 

 

Armed with learnings, Navriti embraces the NEW. 

 

Entering the post COVID world, Navriti will design NEW strategies, explore NEW partnerships, and build NEW practices so that trade generates wealth for everyone and protects the planet. 

 

Navriti Livelihoods Foundation is a section 8 local non-profit, registered in India. 

OUR OBJECTIVES

Empower communities of farmers, artisans and workers (esp. women, the marginalized and the vulnerable) by designing and promoting market-based alternative business models.

Provide equitable opportunities by enabling better access to markets, credits, institutions, technical assistance (incl climate resilience).

Encourage dialogue on sustainable trade and sustainable climate with all stakeholders by questioning and highlighting injustice in trade and putting forth win-win solutions

Shift the power by building leadership at community collectives. so that they drive the change agenda.

Meet Our Board

RAKESH SUPKAR

An ardent advocate for sustainable trade and sustainable environment, Rakesh has worked across the Asia Pacific region. For over 22 years, he has partnered with smallholder farmers, artisan groups and informal workers to design solutions enabling them to get a better value for the products and work.

Rakesh is an Engineering graduate from NIT Surat, has a Master’s degree in Development Studies (majoring in Rural Livelihoods, and minor in Environment) from the ISS in The Hague, and a MBA in Rural Management from IRMA.

 

ANURADHA PRASAD

a process and Institutional development consultant, Anuradha is engaged in coaching, human and institutional development. In her illustrious 35 years career, Anuradha has held various leadership positions and serves as Trustee for several non-profits.

Certified in Depth Psychology from the Jung Center, India, Anuradha works on dreams and unconscious processes with individuals and groups. she is also a certified practicing Yoga teacher, a Process Work Associate certified by the Process Work Institute of India and a

professional life and executive coach, certified by Leadership that Works, India.

 

SUJATHA KRISHNASWAMY

A seasoned chartered accountant, Sujatha is the founder director of Crestworth Management Partners.

She has an MBA from Georgia Tech, USA; and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of experience in industry, management consulting and tax advisory. She has hands on experience and expertise in internal audit and compliance, Designing accounting & internal control systems, MIS & proactive advisory to top management, Tax advisory – with a strong non-profit tax advisory practice. She serves on the board of a number of non-profits including Indian Cancer Society.
